We have invented a patented technology that can detect aligners without measuring a force. This technology allows us to accurately detect aligners is any orientation, in any container, at any time.
The app has been designed to operate in a truly passive manor so that once you configure your treatment settings you never have to return to it unless you want to.
However, for data to be logged in real-time and notifications properly trigger you must have Bluetooth enabled on your mobile device, the app running in the background or foreground, and the SmartCase™ within 30 feet.
You don't have to charge it at all!
We use a replaceable coin cell battery (CR2450) that should only need to be replaced a few times throughout the course of your treatment.
You can easily purchase replacement batteries through the app or on Amazon (click here).
The frequency at which battery changes occur will depend on your usage of the SmartCase™ .
We will automatically send you notifications when your battery gets low to help remind you to change it.
We suggest using an alcohol-free wet wipe of some kind to clean and disinfect the interior of the SmartCase™ .
There are sensitive electronics inside the SmartCase™ that will break when they get wet.
While we hope to have a future version waterproof, in its current form it is not.
We offer a standard 90 day product warranty similar to what you will find on any consumer electronic device.
That being said if you run into any issues, even after the 90 days, please contact us and we will do our very best to accomodate you.
